Janet Jarvits owns and operates Cook Books by Janet Jarvits, Bookseller (since 1994); an open bookshop devoted to used, rare and out-of-print literature on the culinary arts. The shop houses over 15,000 books, magazines and pamphlets about food and drink. She began buying and selling cook books in 1989.
